you can see her card here.  She blinged her card up, but I wanted to show you how nice your card can turn out if you don't have the "bling".

Here is the recipe for BOTH cards with the bling to follow:

Stamp Set:  Hostess Posey Punch Stamp

Cardstock:  DSP Twitterpated, Whisper White, Baja Breeze

Ink:  Pink Pirouette, Baja Breeze

Accessories on both:  Elegant Lines Embossing Folder, Fancy Flower Punch

No bling:

Dimensionals only on the baja breeze flower.

Baja Breeze Seam Binding

Bling:

Whisper White Satin Ribbon

Filigree Brad

Rhinestones 

Dimensionals on 2 of the flowers and 1 one "Hello"

MONKEY BUSINESS

My grandaughter turned 2 and her theme for the party was Curious George.  So I decided to create a girl monkey for her.  I found a post on Pinterest but it won't let me link it up here.  So I'll do my best to show you how to make this cute monkey!

Here is the card.

Here are the punches I used.

This is the picture on Pinterest, it won't take me to the person who first posted it.  So I think you can figure it out from this picture.  

I used the 1 1/4" circle punch to make the bananas.

I used the heart on the owl punch to make her bow.

Notice I actually used a different design to draw the mouth.

I used Soft Suede, Daffodil Delight and Crumb Cake.

Got to play with the new "Honeycomb" Embossing Folder

I've seen such great samples all over the place that I just had to give it a try.

One trick to keep the paper from tearing is to add a piece of vellum paper into the embossing folder and don't use a tab on the big shot.

How can it be that the neighborhood kids are growing up, getting married and having families of their own??

Time just goes by too fast. 

Supplies used:

As part of our 25-year anniversary celebration, we're bringing back some of our favorite stamp images from the last quarter century and combining them into 12 sets, which will release-one set per month-during 2013.
