GET WELL CARD

This card is made using the retired DSP Parisian Breeze and Baja Breeze. I also used Chocolate Chip, Kraft and Whisper White. I added a flower brad just to make it pop. Inside it says "get well soon". I hope it's masculine enough after adding the flower brad!

THINKING OF YOU

I heard from my husband that his brother and sister in law are dealing with some issues that are very difficult at this time. I wanted to send them a card to let them know that even though we are far away, we are thinking about them.

I used two retired Stampin' Up! sets called Perfect Petals and All Year Cheer I. That's the wonderful thing about Stampin' Up! sets, they may retire, but they never go out of style!

I used SU's watercolor paper, Very Vanilla and Chocolate Chip cardstock along with C.C. ink. I also embossed the edges. I popped the flower up with dimensionals to make it look like a picture.

It was made from the heart with lots of love. I hope they feel that.

VINNIE THE VAMPIRE

Ok I'm not that into Halloween OR Vampires but I needed a vampire for a project. So I looked on Splitcoaststampers and found this adorable Vampire that shanna_banana did. I call him Vinnie the Vampire.

Here is my idea......I'm going to take these two boxes down to my dentist's office filled with candy. If you notice Vinnie's teeth are yellow BEFORE he goes to the dentist and WHITE after his visit! I'm thinking the dentist is going to love it! I hope you do too!

I used the Fancy Favor Bigz xl diecut and DSP Cast a Spell.

Here are the punches I used, this should help in making your own Vampire! Don't forget to give shanna banana the credit!!

MY FIRST STAMP CLASS EVER!

Well needless to say I was shocked when I got an email from Stampin' Up! saying there was a lead for me regarding my Beginners Stamping Class tonight. As a new demonstrator living in a new city, I am looking everywhere for customers. I walked the neighborhood handing out flyers for my Open House. My neighbor was not able to attend but she went to my SU! website and found my list of classes. I was thrilled! I LOVE teaching people to stamp. I'm hoping she will tell her friends and so on and so on..........

Since I had only a few hours to come up with 4 cards, I hustled like crazy and came up with these cards. (If I KNEW someone was going to come I would have already had something prepared.)

So here goes!!

My Fall Card using Stamp Set: Falling Leaves and Designer Series Paper, Autumn Meadows.

My Christmas Card using Stamp Set: Season of Joy, the Scallop Circle Punch and the new Eyelet Border.

My Halloween Card using Stamp Set: Batty for you and the Designer Series Paper, Cast-a-Spell.

Gift card holder inside and out using Sahara Sand Cardstock with Real Read and Whisper White along with the Word Window Punch, the 1/2" circle punch and the Horizontal Slot. Stamp Set, Season of Joy.

This is how I decorated the table!

Let me know what you think!!

OPEN HOUSE SAMPLE, RUB-ONS

For my Open House, Saturday the 19th, I wanted to show off the Rub-ons. So I purchased this glass jar at the local cheapo store and then went to my local craft store and got the beautiful colored acorns. I wanted to fill it full of candy but I could not find any Halloween candy yet! It sure would have been less expensive!

I really like how it turned out! What do you think?
Remember if you want to see a bigger picture, double click on it.

Here is a photo of the back. Purty huh???

And the top...well this was quite a challenge as SU does not make a punch this big and I don't have Circle Scissor Plus YET! So here's what I did. First I used the "Give Thanks" rub-on on the Really Rust paper then I punched it out with the 1 3/4" circle. Then I traced the lid (with the rubber down on the paper) onto More Mustard and cut that out. Stamped it with maple leaf from "Autumn Days". Now here is the part where I pat myself on the back. I punched a circle using the 1 3/8" circle punch. Toss aside the punched part. Keep the cardstock that has the hole punched out. THEN I centered the circle inside the scalloped punch and punched. You get a very narrow scalloped circle. Then I cut sections of 3 scallops and adhered them to the back of the decorated cardstock leaving me with a scalloped edge. (they are all 3 scallops except for one which has 2 scallops. If you have questions, email me or drop me a note on Facebook.

Last, but not least, is my bow! I love the challenge of tying a bow and having the dots all show! The trick is to go slowly. I used Melon Mambo ribbon, it really looks good. I have a hard time remembering Melon Mambo because my kids call me "MOMBO". We all have nicknames: Jenbo, Jehzbo, Rhizbo and me, Mombo! So when I type Mambo, I ALWAYS type MOMBO! Welcome to my world of weird and wacky!

Hope you all have a wonderful week!

FRIEND....GOOD!!

I saw a cute tutorial on Jan Tink's website called Stamps, Paper, Scissors. This card is called "The Marvelous Magical Marqee Card Video Tutorial!" This is my attempt at making one of these cute cards! I still have to play with it some more to get the "curtains" to look nicely when it's closed. But not bad for a first time try!!
