BIRTHDAY GIFTS

I have seen so many beautiful wreaths made with DSP and I thought I'd give it a try using a picture frame. A glue gun worked best for me in applying and making the flowers. Please click on the picture to get a better view.

This is frame #1.

This is frame #2.

I made these frames and cards for my step-daughter's birthdays.

Up close images so you can see what I did.

After punching out the scallop circle, I scored it so it looked like hearts.

I used a skinny piece of DSP to thread through the button.

I used Mary Brown's tutorial, click here, for making this beautiful bow!!!

I also use Perfect Pennants Bigz Die to get the circles to put under the scored flowers.

What I used:

DSP Mocha Morning....most strips were 12" x either 1", 1 1/4", 1 1/2"
Sometimes I would use the scallop punch on the strip THEN score between the scallops.
I used 1/2", 3/4" circle punch on top of the flower and the 1 3/4" and 2 3/8" scallop circle punches for under the flower. Along with the Bigz die Perfect Penants (to get the scalloped circles), I used the Itty Bitty Shapes punch as well.
For the leaves, I punched them out with the Blossom Petals Builder Punch, crimped them, then scored down the middle with the bone folder to give it a vein.
I used Neutrals Designer Buttons, Antique Brads, Chocolate Chip Grosgrain Ribbon (striped), and hemp twine for one of the buttons. Had to add some bling, Jewels basic Pearl!

Contact me if you have any questions!!! Please leave me a comment, I love to hear from you!!

CLASS FUN

Yesterday 5 of my stampin' friends came over and we had a great time! Here are the items that they brought in addition to the shoebox swap!!

Carol Wenker made these adorable items!!!

She painted the face on this little pot and created this flower pot full of tootsie pops with bats!!!

She also made us all these pumpkins from orange slices! Quite creative that girl!!!

Top View:

Then our friend Margaret Schuster created and demo'd these adorable boxes with chocolate nuggets inside. She used the Petal Card Double punch to create these boxes and the Spooky Bingo Bits to decorate the outside of the boxes.

Next Margaret created Frankie for everyone, filled with chocolate!!! She demo'd this as well!!! Frankie's head has been run through the Big Shot using the Spider Web embossing folder and also punched around with the scalloped edge border punch.

She showed us how to make a package bow using the Blossom Bouquet Triple Layer Punch!

Margaret also brought cupcakes with decorations from Batty for You!!!

Carol Wenker also brought some pins she had made using punches from the Owl Punch, Petite Penants Builder and Oval Punch. Aren't they stinkin' cute????

I hope you enjoyed checking out the goodies the gals brought! I will post the cards we made later!
