AUTUMN DAYS
This is a thank you note for my friend Kristin who invited me back to CT to see the changing of the leaves a few weeks ago. We drove up to New Hampshire and spent a few days there. I never knew there were so many different colors of leaves. So beautiful. We even had snow! Keep in mind that this is exciting to me because I live in Southern California where we do not have seasons (unless you count fires, mudslides and earthquakes).
Stamp Sets: Autumn Days, Pocket Silhouettes
Cardstock: Really Rust, Confetti Cream, Pumpkin Pie
Ink: Summer Sun, Pumpkin Pie, Ruby Red, Really Rust, Old Olive

NEW TECHNIQUE
Attached is a card I made for a friend whose birthday is coming up. I learned this technique from Pat Huntoon this past summer and finally got to play some today. If you are interested in learning this technique, go here: http://www.techniquejunkies.com
For the center piece, I used a retired SU set called Nature's Wonders, stamped it with basic black and colored it in with colored pencils on very vanilla cardstock. Then I covered with versamark and SU's clear embossing powder. Love it!
I took two pictures so you can see different angles and details.
Hope you enjoy it!

WOODY & TINKERBELL
My two grandchildren are having a joint birthday party today. My grandson is 3 and he loves Woody from Toy Story. My grandaughter just turned one and she has a Tinkerbell theme. So I tried my best to create those characters in a card.
With Woody I used a lot of punches, then altered them to get what I wanted. I probably should have given Woody some hands, but I don't think my grandson will notice!
My friend Adela has the most cutest onesies templates and I used it to print onto the green cardstock for Tinkerbell's body. I used Stampin' Up!'s butterfly die for her wings. Used LOTS of Irridescent Ice all over the body. I used green mulberry paper for the bottom of her outfit.
If you are interested in the onesies template please check out Adela Rossol's blog here.
