BIRTHDAY GIFTS

I have seen so many beautiful wreaths made with DSP and I thought I'd give it a try using a picture frame. A glue gun worked best for me in applying and making the flowers. Please click on the picture to get a better view.

This is frame #1.

This is frame #2.

I made these frames and cards for my step-daughter's birthdays.

Up close images so you can see what I did.

After punching out the scallop circle, I scored it so it looked like hearts.

I used a skinny piece of DSP to thread through the button.

I used Mary Brown's tutorial, click here, for making this beautiful bow!!!

I also use Perfect Pennants Bigz Die to get the circles to put under the scored flowers.

What I used:

DSP Mocha Morning....most strips were 12" x either 1", 1 1/4", 1 1/2"
Sometimes I would use the scallop punch on the strip THEN score between the scallops.
I used 1/2", 3/4" circle punch on top of the flower and the 1 3/4" and 2 3/8" scallop circle punches for under the flower. Along with the Bigz die Perfect Penants (to get the scalloped circles), I used the Itty Bitty Shapes punch as well.
For the leaves, I punched them out with the Blossom Petals Builder Punch, crimped them, then scored down the middle with the bone folder to give it a vein.
I used Neutrals Designer Buttons, Antique Brads, Chocolate Chip Grosgrain Ribbon (striped), and hemp twine for one of the buttons. Had to add some bling, Jewels basic Pearl!
